Renew and Ignite
The Research Foundation is partnering with Bra Couture KC to offer a self-care workshop for cancer patients that qualify for services at Verda’s Place in the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Research Medical Center.
The workshop, “Renew and Ignite,” will focus on skin care and beauty during cancer treatment. Attendees will leave with makeup and skin care tips for treatment, a makeup and skincare bag, basic clothing styling ideas and a hand-painted silk scarf by artist Candace Futch.
The class is being offered to cancer patients who are currently in treatment at Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Research Medical Center and are qualified for services provided by Verda’s Place.
“Renew and Ignite” will be presented by professional model, trainer and breast cancer survivor Sharon Snowden-Hake at 3-5 p.m. Thursday, February 28 in the Community Board Room at Research Medical Center. Those who wish to attend should RSVP to Cancer Wellness at 816-276-3213 by February 25.
