2019 HOEPER PRIMARY CARE SYMPOSIUM | SEPTEMBER 20, 2019

Dr. Sam Hoeper, Sr. practiced medicine at Research Medical Center for 47 years, but before his career as a doctor began he was a teacher, principal and coach. As a man who valued education, he was dedicated to providing others opportunities to learn. Dr. Hoeper, Sr. passed away in August 2008. He established the Hoeper Bixby Fund through The Research Foundation to provide support to host medical symposiums and conferences for the benefit of the local medical community – and the thousands of patients served by healthcare professionals.

Dr. Sam Hoeper, Jr. describes his father as a humanitarian. He had a commitment to education and a desire to help people. Dr. Hoeper, Jr. carries on his father’s legacy in medicine and also helps to organize this annual symposium.

The Hoeper Primary Care Symposium has been planned and designed to provide primary members of the healthcare team with the tools and knowledge they need to identify and treat various conditions of their patients. The target audience includes Primary Care providers (Family Physicians and Internists), Advance Practice Nurses, Nurses in Acute and Ambulatory Care Settings and Allied Health Professionals.
