KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Jun. 26, 2023) – The Research Foundation is continuing its decades-long support of nursing careers by awarding $248,620 in scholarship to students accepted into the traditional and transfer nursing programs at Avila University, Research College of Nursing, and William Jewell College. The foundation’s commitment to nursing is also reflected in its scholarships for accelerated nursing students and financial assistance for nursing students in emergency situations.
“Our undergraduate nursing student scholarship program is vital to our organization,” Cynthia Randazzo, The Research Foundation president and CEO, said. “Many of our donors and friends care deeply about supporting nursing students and ensuring there are enough nurses to care for patients. We are proud to honor that with annual scholarship to deserving students.”
Scholarships were provided to 44 students in the three nursing programs.
Avila University nursing students were awarded $49,500, Research College of Nursing students were awarded $180,120, and William Jewell College nursing students were awarded $19,000 in scholarship support. Of the 44 students awarded, 15 were accepted in Avila University, 23 were accepted into Research College of Nursing, and six were accepted into William Jewell College.
