KANSAS CITY, Mo., (Jan. 15, 2024) – The Research Foundation partners with Happy Bottoms to provide diapers for families who are insured by Missouri Medicaid or are at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Through Happy Bottoms' Bundles of Joy program, The Research Foundation works with Research Medical Center to distribute diapers to mothers and their newborns before leaving the hospital. A one-time gift of 75 diapers is given, along with information about how to continue receiving a monthly supply of diapers and other critical services.
In 2023, The Research Foundation and Happy Bottoms supported 588 new mothers and their babies who were born at Research Medical Center. That resulted in 47,325 diapers. This early access to diapers can mean earlier access to other critical services the family needs. Learn more about Happy Bottoms and its work here.
