The Research Foundation provides scholarships and other financial assistance to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and License in Practical Nursing (LPN) students as well as nursing faculty members at educational programs in the Kansas City area. TBSN SCHOLARSHIPS
The Research Foundation funds scholarships for traditional and transfer nursing students at Research College of Nursing, Avila University, and William Jewell College. We award named scholarships established by those who invested in the future of health care. You can also contribute to these scholarships by making one-time donations.
ABSN SCHOLARSHIPS
The Research Foundation provides scholarships to accelerated BSN students from Research College of Nursing, Avila University, and William Jewell College. The Cheri Burchett Memorial Scholarship and Dr. Kay Sullivan Memorial Scholarship are given to Research College of Nursing accelerated students and honor former faculty members.
LPN SCHOLARSHIPS
The Research Foundation offers scholarships to support students in the Kansas City area pursuing their License in Practical Nursing (LPN). The scholarships are meant to alleviate barriers and support training for quality nurses in our community.
WHITE COAT FUNDING
The Research Foundation funds white coats for nursing students at Research College of Nursing and William Jewell College and commitment coats for nursing students at Avila University. The White Coat and Commitment Ceremonies begin a new and exciting chapter of a student’s nursing journey and marks their entrance into the nursing profession.
NURSING STUDENT EMERGENCY FUND
The Research Foundation assists nursing students in emergency situations like housing insecurity and lack of transportation. Students must be able to demonstrate the cause of financial need. Tuition owed is not considered. The fund is available for nursing students at Research College of Nursing, Avila University, and William Jewell College.
NURSING FACULTY DEVELOPMENT
The Research Foundation provides scholarships and awards to nurse educators on faculty at Research College of Nursing, Avila University, or William Jewell College.
