TBSN SCHOLARSHIPS
The Research Foundation has funded undergraduate nursing student scholarships for decades. These students are awarded many of our named scholarships established by those who are invested in the future of health care. Friends of The Research Foundation also contribute to these scholarships by making gifts throughout the year.
ABSN SCHOLARSHIPS
Accelerated BSN students are eligible to receive the Cheri Burchett Memorial Scholarship and Dr. Kay Sullivan Memorial Scholarship from The Research Foundation. The funds were established to honor former Research College of Nursing faculty members. Accelerated students are also eligible for The Research Foundation Nursing Scholarship.
WHITE COAT FUNDING
The Research Foundation funds white coats for nursing students at Research College of Nursing and William Jewell College and commitment coats for nursing students at Avila University. The White Coat and Commitment Ceremonies begin a new and exciting chapter of a student’s nursing journey and marks their entrance into the nursing profession.
NURSING STUDENT EMERGENCY FUND
The Research Foundation assists nursing students in emergency situations like housing insecurity and lack of transportation. Students must be able to demonstrate the cause of financial need. Tuition owed is not considered. The fund is available for nursing students at Avila University, Research College of Nursing, and William Jewell College.
NURSING FACULTY DEVELOPMENT
The Research Foundation provides scholarships and awards to nurse educators on faculty at Avila University, Research College of Nursing, or William Jewell College.
